Course Description
The Essential Management Skills Workshop is designed to enable participants to develop new and existing skills to assist them in their capacity as a manager. Its main aim is to create more effective and dynamic managers enabling them to optimise their team's productivity and fulfill their potential.
Course Objective
Delegates will learn how:

To be able to relax and focus under pressure enhancing their effectiveness as a manager

To motivate and encourage those around them to greater achievements through effective communication skills

To enhance their leadership qualities, encouraging more positive delegation of tasks and improving their supervisory skills

To handle confrontation and conflict confidently, quickly and with authority, minimising the impact to the company and affected staff/clients

Arrange, organise and run effective and dynamic meetings through thoughtful planning and realistic objective setting

Improve managerial performance through greater overall efficiency and effectiveness
Who Should attend?
Managers, supervisors and officers experienced in public relations. Also, other key personnel whose work involves contact and interaction with the internal/ external public, particularly in the areas of personnel, marketing, sales, training and administration.
Course Outline
By the end of the programme participants should be able to:

Cope with the pressures of work more effectively, improving their time management, decision making, motivational and delegation skills.

Provide comprehensive leadership more effectively through a better understanding of team dynamics, enhanced communication skills and team planning.

To diffuse potentially confrontational situations with calmness and authority whilst improving delegate's overall ability to resolve conflict in the workplace.

Are able to deal with potentially difficult people being they customers, staff or management.

Develop a greater understanding and awareness of their own abilities as a manager and combine that with practical techniques to support them, engendering a far greater degree of confidence in performance than before.
